USA Freedom Corps - Make a Difference. Volunteer. As a coordinating entity in the White House, USA Freedom Corps is charged with promoting a culture of service, citizenship, and responsibility in America. USA Freedom Corps promotes and expands volunteer service in America by supporting Federal service programs, serving as a resource for non-profits, recognizing volunteers, and helping to connect individuals with volunteer organizations in their communities.

Volunteer Florida Foundation The Volunteer Florida Foundation is a public-private, non profit organization dedicated to engaging all Florida’s citizens in activities that strengthen families and increase literacy, specifically by managing Governor Jeb Bush’s initiatives. Those include:

*The Governor’s Family Literacy Initiative
*The Governor’s Mentoring Initiative
*The Governor’s Strengthening Families Initiative
*The Governor’s Faith-Based Initiative

We serve as a unifying program development and management group, working with nonprofits, start-up community organizations, nationwide associations, faith-based groups, the private sector and state government to effectively further our program goals. We do so through allocating grants, assuring effectiveness through constant measurement and accountability, and managing partnerships to leverage assets to their maximum effectiveness.

Request for Volunteer Hurricane Relief Assistance

The Economic Development Council of Collier County is partnering with Enterprise Florida (EFI); the Governor's Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development (OTTED); the Small Business Administration (SBA); and other organizations around the state in order to help organize volunteers to aid our neighbors who are victims of the hurricanes. The Small Business Administration is working hard to process the thousands of requests for emergency housing and small business loans that they have already received. Similarly, OTTED will be processing many emergency business "bridge loans" applications.

These organizations are in need of volunteers that have experience working as Loss Verification/Property Appraisers, Loan Officers, Customer Service Representatives, and related positions.

If you have any of these skills to offer or would like to offer any other type of assistance, please complete the attached form and return it to Alanna Gluhm at the EDC, by fax to 263-6021, or by e-mail to alanna@eNaplesFlorida.com, as soon as possible. We also ask you to please help circulate this request for volunteers among your friends and associates.

Thank you very much.
